Periscope

Privacy is a human right, not a feature.

Our story

Periscope was founded in 2020 by Arjun Bose and Maya Chen after they watched a family member fall victim to identity theft — a crime that took years and tens of thousands of dollars to resolve. The root cause was simple: their personal information was freely available on dozens of data broker websites, there for anyone to find and exploit.

We built Periscope because we believe the current state of personal data is broken by design. Data brokers profit by trading in the most sensitive details of your life without your knowledge or consent. Periscope fights back — automatically, continuously, and at scale. Today, more than four million Americans rely on Periscope to keep their families safe from scammers, fraudsters, and data predators.
